Hi,
My '86 325 cab has a hose that goes into the airbox ... looks like it joins the other end into a T piece near the brake vacuum thing.
If I install an air filter like a K&N ... what do I do with the hose ?
Is there a particular reason it goes into the airbox ??
Thanks,
Giles

Going by other cars that I've owned, this is usually the cam breather pipe.
When installing an K&N or such like, there's usually an additional connection that you can attatch the breather pipe onto the induction kit, just after the main filter. Otherwise, you can buy the mini pipercross(or similar) filter that fits on to the end of the breather, and just sits in your engine bay.

Hi .. after closer inspection it goes to the bulkhead. The T piece has a valve or gauge in one end with a wire or two coming out and the other end goes across the bulkhead and then into the inlet manifold.
There's nowhere on the K&N adapter plate for it to attach to.
Will a tiny filter be the solution ??
