Hi All,

I've tried to search for a solution through the archives but can't find anything so far! NB. I'm not the one carrying out the work so apologies if I don't make sense in places!

My problem(s) are as follows:

1. Swapped my 320 engine for a 325 engine (inc. Wiring loom, ECU). When we tried to start the engine, it turned over but we were getting NO spark. We checked the coil and this was NOT receiving any current from the ignition switch. However when we checked the ignition switch, this showed up as live!?!?

2. To start the car we ran a cable direct from the ignition switch to the coil (on the + terminal), this allowed us to start the car. HOWEVER when we tried to rev the car, the engine just seemed to pulse and not hold the revs steady?

Ignoring the rev's problem for now, has anyone got any idea to solve the first problem? We're inclined to go down the route of a break in the cable somewhere...but just thought I'd post to get the zone's ideas or suggestions!!

Any info would be gratefully received as I really need the car back in the summer!

Thanks,

Keith
