i've been noticing latley a lot of e30's running around on hartage wheels they look a lot like mine i had on my first e30 that are currently still sitting in my mums garden. how can you tell if they are original or not i think they need repairing cause i hit a massive pot hole with them and popped two wheels we managed to get some air back in the tyres but just ended up buyin a new set and putting them in the garden i'll grab them back and get some photos posted any markings known would be appreciated

I've only got the 16" ones, and they are stamped (in the 4 quadrants)

No not always, I have 15" hartges, they are supposed to be more rare. This doesn't mean they are worth more as the 16" wheel is nicer to be honest. Just go into your garden and see what you have got.whipsey wrote:i think mine are 15's would this indicate that they are copies?

I have 15" Hartge wheels, just checked and they have HARTGE stamped by the bolt holes, underneath the locking center cap.whipsey wrote:i think mine are 15's would this indicate that they are copies?
I dont thing anyone has produced a replica like they have with Alpina rims so they should be original but im no expert.
Yes I do have X spokes in my sig pics, the Hartge rims are in my bedroom (no where else to put them) await refubishment and new tyres when money allows

bullshit hartge rims bend like alpina's. Kerbs at 10mph will buckle them. 15bbs are the daddys for strong rims.
strange everyone loves them but no one really seems willing to pay alpina money for a pukka set

Funny it should be mentioned, I've seen more buckled alpinas than any other wheel, a guy stopped me recently in the M3(no idea wtf he was!) and asked me where I could get some replacement alpinas from, as 2 of his were buckled, and he had 8J's too.
