right firstly...im going to see a guy to strip out the elcetric windows system from a two door.
how do i do this...aprtf from motors mechs andswitches..what looms do i need to remove etc....
also do you think e46 windows switches will work on an e30

If you want the wires, you'll have to follow them along from the switches and cut them out from the loom.
Most E30s already have the loom fitted. Have a look under the centre console for the switches.
If you dont have the wiring already, it'll probably be easier to run new two core cable to the doors from the console, through the hole in the door plug/sockets, in the same manner as the dealer retrofit windows.
I don't think E46 switches are likely to work, as, AFAIK, E46 switches just input signals to a computer.
Some E36 switches will work.
