Right, I know these aint exactly 10 a penny but does anyone have any specific comments on them? My mate is looking to buy a brilliant red one with 90000km on the clock priced at 15k.
It apparently has the schnitzer engine (2.5) and suspension is there anything that should be specifically looked at on M3's?

i doubt u will get good response on this, total bmw featured one a while ago.
All i really know is they are 2.5 and came out before bmw made the sport evolution.
So is it an 89 car?
i'm sure they are well modified with schnitzer stuff compared to a standard M3.
Like all things schnitzer and E30 the stuff and cars is mega rare

It is only a schnitzer S3 if the work has been done by schnitzer, my car has the schnitzer S3 parts, but was coverted by another motosport company, bills for £5000.

according to mr rossiter of rossiters in dersingham(main schnitzer specialist) they started life as a m3, they then had the engine tuned by whoever imports the parts) the reason why u dont see allot of them was........ why have the conversion done when u could go and buy a sport evolution? yes they are rare as rocking hourse shit, i found out that there are less than 5 in the country. i would give my left nut for one. lucky person who might be buying it thats all i can say! £15,000 is a steal for one, you will only make money on it.
mods......... bored out to 2.5
schnitzer cam
suspension
strut brace
pedals
gear knob
upgraded ecu
wheels
if anyone knows of more then please add

S3,
Some say sweeter than the Evo Sport, all parts can either be obtained or made, [cams / crank/ head/] not cheap, but can be done.
16,000.00 is on the cheap side if in good condition, slightly slower to 60mph than a Sport Evo, but has 2 BHP more.
German Market for it very much stronger than the UK, they can fetch upwards of 30,000 euro [20,000 pound +] there, but must be mint for that.
Some S3's had different spec suspension, but very rare in this spec.
Full service history essential !

The Gorilla.
