these are not found on 318is' for some weird info, there is no slot in the boot tool box for them :?

noticed when changing my drivers mechanism theres an allan socket on there :mad:

think your 99.9% wrong-how would you adjust the inlet valves with that-and there holes not allen head on the eccentric adjusters.throttle stop adjustment i say-as further up the thread!or radio plugs as you said,because its not in all cars and bmw in that day didnt supply standard stereo ,they were all an option-i think.

Some BMW locking wheel studs have a cap secured by a 3mm hex bolt. Could be for that?

What car did it come from?

Early type electric windows had a provision for manual overide. It'll either be for this, or, as E30Mark says, something to do with rag top roofs.
