Whoa...! Steady there!

Think we all need to take a step back a bit.

Until Ceri has posted some pics of her / her car, can everyone just hold off on the negative comments. What is this place coming to? Give this 'person' a break.

A warm "hello" would have been nice, or a "sounds like a good project, post some pics" might have helped.

A girl, rebuilding an E30, turbo-ing it, and leathering the interior sounds like the perfect thread to be nice in! 8)

Ceri... where abouts are you based? Any number of the Zoners would be willing to come and give you a hand, offer you advice, etc...

Don't make it your last post... that would be a pointless protest. You WILL get loads of info from this site... just have to take some 'negative' comments along the way. Everyone has done at some point. No point spitting your dummy out over a few posts.

Post some pics, invite some Zoners to give you a hand, and everything will be rosey.

If not, then it's your loss... up to you. What more can a guy do?

Well done guys, that was some welcome!

Personally i dont find Ceri's story impossible to believe - people took the piss when i was 18 and was looking to buy my M3.

I just took it and then rammed it all right back up their arses once i bought it. Hopefully thats what will happen in this case.

Regardless of wether this is true or not though, there was no need for the piss taking, is that really what we want the zone to be like?

At the end of the day there are 11,819 registered members on this forum....and unfortunately approx 5 members have managed to put you off by taking the p1ss or whatever.

There are still 11,814 who are welcoming and hope you stay. Ive found this place has helped me out no end with my car and bar a few have been very helpful and pleasant.

Ignore this post and stay...que East 17 "Stay now....baby if you got to go away....dont think I could take the pain.....why dont you stay another day...."

I must say i dont really slate on here at all, as each to there own, and me myself have been through the slating with my car, but thats the way it goes sometimes on here and was the reason why i posted up a thread about people complaining about the zone being bitchy about other BMW's, and then the mods opened the "other BMW section" which seems to be going ok.

I must agree with the unfriendly welcome from some zoners, but i have read this thread from it began and have keep coming back to see some pictures before i posted. The post went from

1) lifting off the floor 1.5 metres
2) being able to probably give a skyline a run for its money
3) able to do 140mph in 4th gear

now that lot above was like 8O to me and made me want to see some pictures, but Ceri can not upload any and digicam is a little dodge, so some zoners offer help and still no pictures. Ceri might think the zoners are being horrible but in my opinion if your car was doing the above, i would take it off the road as this is not normal.

Then Ceri comes back with a £6000 rebuild and a turbo which by now to me seems that she is dreaming of making here car come 1.5 metres off the road and just giving us a taste of whats to come.

Ceri dont knock some of the guys on here for being a bit suspicious as you have not backed up anything on here at all, after many request for pictures and zoners offering to help you or even come around.

Me personally would love to see this car, and after hearing you talk about, leathers and engine conversions you can not just walk away, make us all swallow our words with some evidence

martinaston... :teehee: . got to agree though, everybodies just too sensative these days, pussyfooting around, not wanting to upset or cause offence...FFS say what you feel folks, were all adults here,we should be able to take a bit of abuse and critisism,it makes things a bit more interesting rather than the back slapping, everything is great nonsence we usually see winkeye :D

so this thread has now gone from a new girl with a wheeliing BM, to a skyline beater, to a 7.5 grand rebuild and leather, to a bit of shameless sharking, to a deep soul searching as to whether we are a nasty bunch of barstewards and can critisise our fellow zoners or are we a friendly bunch who will open our arms to any E30 driver/owned/lover...... SPOT ON!

Again i point out, if some bloke named Kev ( with 0 posts and a mate with a 600hp Skyline) had started this thread i reckon just about each and everyone of you would have shot the poor lad down in flames, that is if you had even bothered to reply.

but TBH reckon she could have been genuine now, as my missus would also spit her dummy if 5 people out of 1000 readers said she was full of BS winkeye

happy days

mrlee

still with a complete hat ready to eat if Ceri is interested

and it only took 4 pages to go up in flames.. 8O

I am one of the sceptics.. partly cause if 'her' dad does run 7 companies then surely 'she' would be driving a nice e46 convertible or similar..

one point 'she' says 'she' is into cars n then the next doesnt even know what engine is under the bonnet of the 325i sport.. which if 'she' bought it cause 'she' was into old skool beemers, surely thats something 'she' would know about?!

My missus (who can be considered a trolling expert, her best was ousting a cross dresser on a public forum - seriously) reckons its fake and actually a bloke who has written it.

It could however be a ploy to stop me reading the forum every 5 seconds

seems like a wind up to me, people go forums all the time to do this, seem to get a kick out off winding people up who would be more than happy to give any advive they could. My house mate who will be 21 in a couple of weeks and has been driving for over 3 years but has no no claims is looking at about £800 on a 318is, she looked at the same car about a year ago and it was £1400, so to say she is insured at 18 on a 325i sport for £1000 is a bit unrealistic. Plus the description of her old car and all the talk of dump valves says girl racer to me.

Well I think it's some sad cow having a good old chuckle at all of our expense.

Mind you...she needs a life too if the wheeling 325i story was the best she could come up with :-)

NOTE: The above is all in good humour before I get abuse!

ceri325isport = artis? :duck:

Someone else suggested it to me and it makes a lot of sense. The two have the same style of typing as well.

Three clues, to the author of this piss take
1. 'she' lives in wales
2. 'she' has a 2003 clio (billabong ?)
3. there is some fresh 18 year old flange about and Scott is
nowhere to be seen.

Come on Scott, get your hands off them sturmey archers and put
them up !
Yet again the (other) zone paedos have been caught drooling
pointlessly !, come on lads get rid of them tissues !
