the 205 50 16.

compared to the standard 15" bbs wheel.(205 55 15)

205 50 16;
Speedometer Difference: 0.833% too slow Diameter Difference: 0.84%

205 45 16;
Speedometer Difference: 2.628% too fast Diameter Difference: 2.56%

Personally,id use neither and go for a 225 45 16 which is closer and will look better.

225 45 16;
Speedometer Difference: 0.414% too slow Diameter Difference: 0.42%

It is recomended to stay within 3% of the original diameter

Well I was going to get some 50 profile tyres for the iS, but I was put off as the load index on them tends to be 82 instead of the 87-88 that the higher profile tyres have.
Probably be OK as long as you dont carry too much weight? Anyone?
Cheers,
Robin

are your wheels genuine bbs's? they can't rub badly surely? mine don't on my sport with 15 bbs or 16 alpina's

ask demlotcrew about 195's on 15's he has them on his but with a lighter 4 pot engine it actually helps him a bit.

me is thinking that the plastic liner in the front right arch is a bit low, or in too far (too near to the wheel) yup they're gen BBS (right down to the centrecaps (stamped BBS!)

only happens on full lock left!Nothing on full lock right, so thats what makes me think its the liner?! :mad:

probably a lose splash guard where the brake duct is? just a guess. My Alpina's just brush those when they are on full lock.

Has it been in a shunt do you know?
