problem with wipers

hello guys been having problems with the windshield wipers on my e30

320 cab.....Thing is when i switch them on the first mode i.e intermittent

mode they stay up then go back down like 3-4seconds later so plz sum

advice on what it could be and how it can be sorted as its really pissin me

off.........thanx in anticipation.......Shaz :x
