Quick question:
Bought and fitted the Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit a few weeks ago. The poly-bushes supplied in the kit for the front bar don't fit the e30 brackets, so I ordered Powerflex PFF5-302-19B to have them drilled to the correct ARB diameter.
Upon arrival the Powerflex bushes have the exact same outside shape as the Eibach bushes, and thus will not fit the e30 mounts. I did notice on the box that Powerflex says they fit both e30 and e36, and I know the e36 uses a different bracket, same as on my e34, that probably does fit these bushes......
So am I supposed to use the e34/e36/etc mounts with these bushes? Anyone else had this problem? Tried the search function here but no suitable answer popped up......
Thanks,
Steve

Yes. I actually went back to the skip I had just ditched the stock ARBs in and took the BMW-bushes out to use for the time being. The originals have the thick bit in the center, the Eibach and PF have the thick bits on the outside and are slim in the center.ed325i wrote:Hi, Are they a diffrent shape to the rubber BMW ones you removed? assuming that these are otherwise the same as for a BMW ARB these will fit, they're just a bit of a pig to get in.
You may need to do some careful trimming to help things along, i found that an angle grinder is just the thing to trim polybush.
you may then need a trolley jack or molegrips to compress the bracket round the bush, it takes a bit of persuading.

Thought of cutting them up but there must be a reason 2 suppliers send an identical part. Do the e36 brackets fit the e30 mounting holes? If that is the case I'll just get those and fit the stuff properly......

Mine are the same thick bits on the outside and slim in the center, they are a tight fit.

Slightly different but i have just got a new set of bushes and clamps from bmw for mine and i am not looking forward to fitting them at all
I decided to trial fit a bush to a clamp and i needed a vice to do it and thats without the bar itself..... washingup liquid methinks, soap it up and ram it in

Ordered the e31/e32/e34/e36 clamps, and will post with pics if the provide a proper fit. Can't be bothered to cut up new bushes if ┚¬5.- clamps will make them fit properly.....
I'll keep you posted.

Any idea which Powerflex bush I need for a standard Sport ARB? I think the ARB is 20mm, and the bushes come in 19 and 22mm.

For a 20mm ARB, do I go for 19mm and drill it out, or is 22mm ok?
Stuart.

I've fitted some H&R ARB's and the bushes were a B*tch to fit, until I figured it out. You need to fit the ARB on the car as a trial fit and mark where the bushes go on the ARB, then lay it all out on the ground, put the bushes on the ARB then put the bracket over the bushes and grab a sledge hammer. Beat the bracket around the bush with the bush on the bar, repeat for the other side then fit to the car. Longer bolts would help with this to aline the bracket up.
