Not ever having worked on cars etc I need a little advice on what may be a simple job?

I need to replace the rear light on my 1989 cab [LHS] - is it one complete unit or is the indicator section separate etc etc? Plus how do I get the thing off anyway to put the new one on? Is there anything I need to look out for - I take it it is clipped into place or something?

This is my cab, cos I know the style of the reverse light section slightly changed on later models.

£50 seem a little expensive, I guess I could try the leaving a post in the wanted forum or try some breaking yards? Would the light be a standard size - be it could I get the rear light from a tip top to fit my cab?

Cheers for the help guys.

there one unit...

on the post facelift theres about 6 nuts that you take out and the whole unit comes out..

try midland bm on partsgateway because they sorted me out some for £20 (cash in hand winkeye )

but you can pivk them up a lot cheaper in the wanted section

Cheers ad318, just gave them a bell a second ago but they didn't have any passenger side lights in at the moment. Told me to try them in the future though - so I will :D

One question he did ask me though was if they were the facelift version [which mine aint right?], though is there a size difference - as in would the later ones with the small reverse light fit my cab? And when people refer to the big and small lights, it is more than just the reverse light they talking about?

That make sense? :?

yours are the pre-face lift or small lights, nothing is interchangable without serious modifications between pre and post face lift, (except the 6 Nos 8mm bolts and the bulbs!!)

you can see below the grey car has pre-face lift (small), the black cab has post face lift (big)

all pre face lift tin tops and cabs share same light unit, all post face lift and the very late cabs, and all tourings share the same unit
