Hello people,

Need your help a friend of mine has just fitted another engine into his vehicle due to a water leak caused by a tiny hole in his old engine.Vehicle cranks over but won't start, checked and found no fuel pressure into engine.Vehicle was running fine before the engine change over.I suspect possible fuel pump problem maybe.

Many thanks in advance.............

Usual thing is connecting the two fuel lines the wrong way around.
If you're sure they're correct, (return pipe to FPR, ask Stevetigger), then pull the fuel pump relay and link pins 30 and 87 of it's socket. This should make the fuel pump run constantly, regardless of ignition switch or anything else.

Thanks for the info guys i have just got back from my friend house now and found out he's got no spark also.Carried out further check and found no power feed going into the fuel pump too.The vehicle has got a alarm fitted too so i'm supecting it has some to do with the alarm which has cut the spark & fuel off.

Check for 12V+ at the + terminal of the ignition coil with the ignition switch on. If it's present, then suspect the crank position sensor.
