ok need to remove the propshaft because i cant get anything to grab around the slider or it can grab though no room to move it.

so have decided ill get the prop shaft out, and tackle it then, need to get the engine to move back and the prop has been extended...

so ive undone all the 6 screws on the donut, and the 4 screws by the diff, ive unmounted the engine again, so its given it some lieghway, the donut and rubber spin freely, but the prop still not budging, it is meant to just come straight off right?

there seems to be a metal pole thing from the gearbox into the middle of the prop, how do i get rid of this??

also can the prop be taken out with the exhasust still in place??

Have you undone the prop centre mount? Dont you need to remove exhaust as to be able to remove the heat shield?

you need to drop the exhaust and heatsheild off mate there is a bearing in the middle of the prop holding it in place! good luck it's an easy job!

ohright heat sheild is out!

ive undone the beaaring, havnt undone the exhaust, really dont want to cos its a pain the in arse to refit! powerflow

if i do end up dropping the exhaust then i will be able to get a wrench on the slider, and wont need to remove the prop then.

argh this is so annoying!

what i dont get is even if the exhaust it kept on , whats stopping the prop from coming down just at the gearbox end??

sorry ali, had to throw that in there!!

you gotta drop the exhaust off and take the heat shield down to access the centre bearing. undo that, and then remove the prop.

so have you actually managed to establish that your engine has moved too far forward then mate???

sounds bloody odd, and a pita

yeah defo far forward, u can see the spline wheres its moved forward its all shiny! also the exhaust at the back has been sucked in, and cant push the engine back cos the prop in the way so need to get the prop shoterned, meh looks like exhaust coming off then! gonna let the downpipe soak in wd40 for a while cos last time i ended up rounding the TOP bit not the nut! or i could just slip it off after the downpipe, might do that actually. anyway cheers guys!
