Info needed,
I'm planning on replacing the exhaust system on my 1990 325i motorsport convertible shortly for a stainless steel item - probably mongoose, unless advised to look elsewhere.
I know this subject has been raised before but what system should I purchase for the year of my car. 2 or 3 box. Your undoubted knowledge is much appreciated.

Do you mean 2 or 3 piece? I dont think it matters when you replace the whole system.

Im not a great fan of Mongoose to be honest, mine was too loud and boyracer'ish

Whatever you do don't get a Mongoose. It fitted badly, was too loud, the tailpipes weren't level with each other, and when I complained to the Collins Performance (who are the manufacturer and where I bought mine), they said it must be the other parts of my exhaust and slammed the phone down on me. I replaced it with a standard box and everything fits perfectly. They're a bunch of idiots who have no concern about customer satisfaction and I advise you to avoid their products.

Buy something else from the 'Zone shop, Sal didn't stop stocking Mongoose for no reason.
