Hi,

I currently drive a 318i. My intention is to drop a 2.5 in there at some point in the not too distant future.

One of the mods I have done so far is to convert the rear drums to discs using running gear from a 318iS. I have also uprated my front discs.

The rear pads now need changing. What pads would you suggest (not looking to spend a complete fortune), preferably pads that would not need changing once the 2.5 gets dropped in - I take it the rear discs are the same for the iS as they are for the 325is?

Any info would be much appreciated as I need to get it sorted - just 1 of the things that failed on the MOT today

IMHO standard (O/E) pads will do just fine. Don't forget most braking effort is on the front anyway.

Any "recognisable" brand of rear pads will be fine.
