M42 Electric water pump

does anyone know if u were to put an elec pump on an m42 and dissconnect belt from originial water pump pulley, would the water still pass threw existing pump on engine?

Yes, it's only a centrifugal pump. Don't know if the flow patterns around the block would still be the same though.
