calipers

i need to change the front calipers in my car. have just been onto ecp and they told me they are 3 types - ate, lucas and girling.

Now I know which one I want but whats the differece between the 3? Is it size, some are abs only, do they take a specific pad or what???

They do take different pads but apart from that I expect it doesn't matter.

I think you will find a lot of secondhand calipers that people on this iste will be parting with as a lot of us are going for brake conversions and will be using 4 pot calipers
