Fitting Mtech 2

Does any one have any advice for this? Or know of any diagrams/links /pictures / anything? Any help at all would be very much appreciated. Im under the impression that I will have to make some holes to fit all the side parts, but that the front and rear bumpers shouldnt be to much of a headache.

Get your DeWalt out!

You need to drill the side sills, bottom of the front wings and the front valance panel.

Door pods and rear bumper go on with no mods.

For the side skirts use some masking tape. Lay a strip of tape, the length of the skirt, along the skirt where it attaches to the body. this way you can mark on the tape where the holes of the skirt are. then peel off the tape and attatch it to the car. then drill away.

Im rare's brother, just incase it seems as if im talking for him lol. What about the boot spoiler?He has a replica one at the moment, will there be any marks, holes were that one was that will show through?Or will the Mtech2 spoiler cover this up.


Also, how do you know where abouts to mark the holes, or is it just a case of carefully trying to put the side skirts up to the body and marking where the holes are and therfore where to drill.

if you have the clips. little black things. on each there is two bits that come out. the holes you will drill will cater for these. just place them in the skirts and mark with a pen onto the strip of tape. its quite hard to explain in writing. hope your with me. just keep checking measurements before drilling.
maybe someone knows an easier way.

with the boot spoiler im not sure mate. i dnt know how the replica ones are fitted. i also never fitted the genuine one. i think they have two bolts either end. not 100% sure tho

the genuine spoilers have 2 holes either side and a row along the back of 6 holes. I think

Replica ones just have 2 holes either side, this was how it was on a car i had with a fake jobbie

The skirts will be a pain because there are clips which are mounted on the sill, which the skirt clips on to. I don't know how you will get over this!

This could be trickier than I had hoped I understand what you are saying about the skirts. That seems to be the only logical way of going about it. If it comes to it, I will ask my local dealer for advice, although no doubt they will charge me a fortune.

You can buy drilling templates from the dealers... after you have used them, you could always sell them on!
