Hi guys(and girls).Im new to the site so any help would be greatly received.I spent a whole day on my pride and joy (327) on a service, valve adjustment, throttle clean, idle control valve clean etc etc.drove home that night and it ran fantastic.the following morning i started back to work and about half way there the engine appeared to die so i pulled over to find the engine idling normally,so i started off again and as i accelerated it seemed to run fine under 1750 rpm ie full power/no missfires or hesitation but get to 1750 and it seemed to completely die again.Had to limp to work at 30 odd miles per hour!!!The fault occurs whether driving,or stationary.
I have had to move the car around periodically to make space in the workshop and the fault has still been there.Sods law,the day i decide to try and diagnose it,the sodding fault has dissapeared!!
If anybody can help I will be eternally greatfull as i know it will happen again when i least expect it!!

try a new DME relay before anything else.
of the two/three in the holder on the NS wind turret the DME is the only 5 pin one
can cause symptoms as you've described and is a known failure item.
HTH, and welcome to the zone dude

Thanks for that mate (and the warm welcome). Will try that later today or perhaps tomorrow but suspect that even if it isnt that, the fault might not show straight away so if anybody else has any theories, please post as i want to cover as many eventualities as possible(I am consideing selling the beast and am going to be giving everything a good going over but would like for it to be all 100% before i pass it on)!!
