Hi, just a quick hello to everyone. I had a 325i Sport 3 years ago and have just bought a 325 cabriolet, so as they say, " I'm Home!"
Its Sterling Silver

Black leather

Black Power Roof

Switchable Auto

65000 miles with loads of history

Is it true that Sterling Silver is a rare colour for a Cabriolet?

I'm after a Mtech 2 kit and possibly some original 16" Alpinas and some rear headrests if anybody can accomadate :D

I'll post some pictures tomorrow
Graham

I had a Sterling Silver convertible. It is true that there's not many about (I've only ever seen one other), but it's also true that Granite Silver is also rare. But saying that, I've seen more Granite Silver convertibles than I have Sterling Silver convertibles!

There are plenty of other E30 models that wear Sterling Silver, so the colour in itself isn't rare, but convertibles dressed in Sterling are.

theres a fair few tourings in this colour but,

it's the rarest colour for 325i sports, bar granite which was individual order in 1991 only

318iS came in this colour but again the rarest along with lazer blue

and the odd late H plate 318i saloon kicking about

Welcome back to the E30 fold, and more importantly the zone! Sounds like a nicely specced motor you have there. Get those pics up asap!

What other models would that be then? Sterling Silver was an optional colour at added cost to the original purchaser. Sterling silver is a rare colour, whatever model.

metallic paint was a no cost option the 318iS so why they are all white and red is beyond me!

Thanks for the replies men, I personally have never seen any Sterling Silver Cabs.
The car does need a bit of TLC here and there but with the low mileage I thought it was worth doing. It's got the original Blaupunk radio cassette so I need a decent CD player.

Thanks
Graham

NEVER  A 535i Sport Alpine White 47000 miles 91 H plate and now what can only be described as a mint e34 540 Touring in Sorrento Blue Genuine Alpinas fully loaded. I've spent an absolute fortune on this car and is my pride and joy but a company vehicle has put pay to that ( its for sale by the way ) butr I still wanted to have an old bmw to keep hence the cab.

Steve, Granite is obviously more rare than Sterling, now calm down, calm down  I didn't mean to start a tiff.

Bob, my 540 was an auto and since then have never fancied pushing and pulling that stick thing around again winkeye .
Now, has anybody got a mtech 2 kit in "rare" Sterling Silver and some original Alpinas and maybe a mtech 2 steering wheel. This one is like driving the local bus!
