Hi all!

Here's a picture of my brothers 6series after 2 layers of Zaino Z5 and 4 layers of Zaino Z2 pro, and boy, does it work!
Having tried lot's of waxes including Zymöl, Sonax etc. this has yet to be the best polish.

And my E30 318iS M-tech 2 brilliantred is the next in line to get Zaino'ed.
Just can't wait winkeye

Cheers...

Please note, that the pictures from the Ring  is before the Zaino treatment..

Hi!

The 6series was just a guinea-pig to try out the Zaino(i'm well aware that this is a forum for E30's only)

And to be on the safe side, rather getting my brothers Beemer spoiled than my E30 :P

Cheers...

So we don't have a problem, good to know, I just replied on the request of few more pictures...

And it's not all about the 6series, just the fact that Zaino is so good.

Cheers.

Well i'm very impressed, the stuff i simply fantastic.
I have never seen anything like it, and tomorrow my Red E30 318iS get's the fully treatment, so I am very exited.
We have to make a new order soon, one of my mates want's to try it as well.
The Z8 is on the next order too.

And then a stupid question, what is ZPC?(clay bar perhaps?)

Cheers..

zpc is the only abrasive product zaino do and is quite new

it removes swirl marks etc from paint surface prior to application of z1 z2 z5 z2 pro z8 etc

it is very very good tho best results are to be had using a machine rather than by hand

Jon

I first used Zymol but found it was expencive and did not last very long. I now use the three stage Meguiars, this I think is very good buy I can still see swirles in the paint. Can I use ZPC then finish it of with the Meguiars. I have a stock of the three stage so dont want to wast it.

I just love those wheels on your M3 Jon wow!!!

autoglym is total shite
hard to use
powders up beyond belief and results are poor

zaino isnt the cheapest but its not the dearest either

you get what you pay for

the pound shop do engine oil for 2.49 for 5 litres

silkolene do race oil at 50 quid for 4 litres

they are both oil but you cant compare the two!!!

Hi John,

Just checked out the zaino page, they ask you to make a choice between Z2 and Z3 depending on the paintwork.

Sorry to be a newbie and ask a dumb question, but which Z number would I go for if my motor is diamondschwartz in colour?

Also, there doesn't seem to be any suggestions as to how best to apply this stuff once bought. I purchased a 12V electric polisher from Halfords the other day, can this help reduce the application time? Or is elbow grease and a chamois leather the only way to go?

Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

z2 pro is what you need

z3 is for non metallics

there is a link on their page with a how to section

the machine from halfords is a no go imho
more damage gunna be caused as far as swirls etc are concerned

apply by hand

just thought i'd add my 2p

I bought the zaino stuff with lots of help from jon, and so far ive used the whole kit about 7 or 8 times and i still have half a bottle of polish and 3/4 bottles of the rest.

i used to use autoglym and i can safely say my bottle would have finished by now, so what i'm saying is the initial price of zaino is a lot but i think you save money if not at least break even as it lasts alot longer.

and it dont leave all that crap autoglym leaves behind :x

you only get out what you put in

there is no "easy" way it doesnt exist

if you want top results you have to spend time prepping.

Zaino is the best period. I just did my car before a local show.
Clayed, zfx accelerator, 2 coats z5, z6 spray enhance between coats, 2 coats z2, final spray down with z8 grande finale spray seal.

No need to use the machine after you clay bar the whole car, you have to
get the paint smooth and free of debris before you apply the polish, after that it just too easy.

Im sure I read here that if you use zaino with the porter cable you dont need to clay the car? (sorry mate I know im probably looking for the easy root) but my red has statrting to go slighty pinky in places!

looking good

the porter is used to rectify problems in paint ie swirls, scratches etc etc

it doesnt need to be used if your paint is good and no imperfections

but if it does have them you will struggle to remove without and by hand

clay will as stated remove debris etc

zaino will only enhance what surface you have
