2 or 2.5 box?

im guna put a 2.5 in my old 2ltr shell will a 2.0 box be ok to leave in there? will this give me more acceleration?

be fine mate although you'll need to use the 320 clutch and flywheel assy possibly.

yes the gearing will be lower but thats more to do with the 4.1:1 diff than anything else

i dont think there is any difference in the boxs. could be wrong check part numbers on that parts thing theres a thread about somewhere on this great site.

The 320i and 325i use a different model of Getrag gearbox, the 325i unit is stronger than the 320i unit but they are also different in length (the 325i box is approx 36mm longer) so you'd need the appropriate propshaft for the gearbox you're using.

Also the ratio's are slightly different too.

The 320 box has ratios (apart from 1st) that aren't to different to the 325 sport box.

Not noticeable but yes the box will fit!
