hi dudes,

i see alot of posts about putting in smaller power steering pumps from golfs or something into e30's. how hard is it to retro fit power steering into a non p/s car? is there any articles etc about it?
cheers

I think someone just posted this same question. It should be a direct swap with a e30 p/s rack and all the parts no need to use a VW pump the factory stuff is a lot less work :D

Think you've got your wires crossed a bit. The only "smaller" golf bit that I know of that's fitted to an E30 is the brake servo.
This isn't done because it's better in any way. It's done to get space for an M5xx or S5xx engine inlet manifold.
Regards retro fitting power steering, as bottlecapsE30 says, there's another current thread recently started on exactly this subject, so I'll lock this one, to avoid splitting the replies.
