power steering leaking

some help required please .lost all the power steering fliud earlier today.checked but couldnt see to easy where it was leaking from but really p*ssing out .on closer inspection it seems to be coming from the body of the pump but no obvious damage, Im wondering if the pump can be seviced by replacing new gaskets etc, does anybody no if it can be done and if gaskets are readily available. Its deffo not hose leaking. Help please

A common E30 fault there,well the rack leaking is anyway,i'm not sure about the pump.
I know it's not possible to service your own rack as special tools are needed,maybe someone else knows if its possible to service your own pump though??
You could always phone your local dealers,ask to speak to service dept.
I've done this a few times for advice and have always found them really helpful.

yeh already changed the rack 18 months ago so quite suprised when my steering went stiff again. will give the dealers a ring ,see if they do a service kit for it .might try the for sale forum see if someone has a pump for sale, cheers

My power stearing gone again and its def the pump this time
Track day and a few doughnuts outside work killed it this time.
I just aint had the time to change it yet

hey rich ,you aint got a pump spare by any chance ???i notice your from my neck of the woods aswell
