urgent help,bonnet release!

as above guys,i need to put water in my coolant,been flashing for 2 days but the bonnet release catch is just flapping about,how do i open it manually/pliers?seems a bit ackward to get into.

Is the catch still attatched to the bonnet cable?

And when you say flapping about do you mean its come away from where its mounted?

hi mate,the handle is still connected to something!!but when u pull it,nothing happens.happened b4 on a cavalier i had,but i could get into it with pliers and pull the cable.

I had mine replaced today.My handle broke off completly and nothing would happen when would pull on the cable. I think they got to the releace mechanism by removing passenger side grill and releasing the bonnet from there. They got eacy access from inside by removing the glove compartment too.

All good mate. Tip originally came from Tylerma and it turned out to be the same method the mechanics used. Hope it works for you. Keep us posted yeah?

managed to get it open mate and fill up the radiator ,got the wife to pull it(ooer)while i pushed on the bonnet.
