Does anyone know if i need a special tool to remove the nut to change the shock insert problem i have i everything is turning when i put a socket on but i cant get at thelittle nipple at the top to stop it, any ideas?

use a socket and grips on big nut with a deep socket through middle i.e 1/4 drive.people usually loosen prior to removal,weight of vehicle helps hold.
