Are M40/m42 316/318is AFM interchangable?
I have a 316i which may have a bugger AFM just wanted to try my IS one to see if it would work? Is this pointless? Will it def not work?

the rubber boot on the is has a bigger hole that the m40 engines so it's not a direct swop weather it will fit on with some duck tape or adaptor rings and work I dont know

As Bob_s said,it will not fit.
Tried the exact thing yesterday, including improvising and its a no go!

Got a good M40 one here though if you want it cheap?
