Cleaned the spark plugsd today and was surprised to see the condition of em considering i hardly use the car...

all were Dirty and had oily deposits on em,3 of which i would actualy say were Wet..general condition of plug was like new as its hardly used but all the plugs were as described..

I will get athe faintest of smoke if i push it hard but nothing major but going by the condition of the plugs it points to worn bores/piston rings or valve guides..

Im guessing this is a Major job getting this sorted?... Runs fine apart from the wobble :? ,no smoke but just dont like to see plugs looking like that.

If im not burning Oil,or at least not really noticible could it be anything else?

Plug reading is only a science if the car gets used "normally" JAMZ, I'd suggest putting a new set in and using the car for a good few 100 miles, then pull and report back.

TBH, given the lack of use, assuming your oil consumption is zero, I'd not worry about it.

How yer doing Ant,thks for the reply m8..

M8 these plugs are new,i changed them about 7-8 mths ago..cant say exactly how many miles ive doen since then but it wouldnt be nothing conpared to it being used as a regular drive.its a weekend car and only that if the weathers good..i got a new diesel Vectra for the daily run about and work..

i can live with pulling em out now and then and give em a clean just wanted to know if it could be anything else given the low usage and hardly any smoke blowing,or any addiditive anyone can recomend i put in..

long shot i know and the cars done 128k so one of them things i guess

BTW, the car was running Lean for quite some time, as the car was juicy i thought the rich smell was normal,as you can see my primitive knowledge is starting get better, but im still only at caveman stage, just got that sorted now and he said it was of the scale, 3 cylinders are ok but the outher 3 are under he said which could be valve seals etc,so the plug state is gearing towards what he said and the 3 cylinders he was talking about were the most soiled..
