I have an 89 320i tourer running on lpg, that's only doing 15mpg! I have just had the head gasket done, changed the blue temp sensor it's had new plugs (not sure if they should be different form standard for LPG motors)
Any one help
Poor fuel economy

Brianmoooore is the expert on LPG and I'm sure he can help but until he gets here...
I've got my 325 touring running on a closed loop LPG system and at 80-85 on the motorway get 22-23mpg (In fact no matter how I drive I always seem to get this MPG!)
Have you got a closed loop sytem (with a Lambda probe and gas ECU) or a simpler setup? This might make a difference.
I don't think the blue temp sensor will affect how it runs on LPG...
I'm still running standard plugs but I'd be intersted to see any recommendation regarding these!
Hopefully Brian will see this soon and give you all the answers!

Don't know what system, is there a way to tell by looking under the bonnet. All I know is that it starts on petrol and then filcks itself on to gas.
I get 160-170 miles from 55 litres of gas!

I'm not an expert but here goes...
I guess the easiest way to tell what type of system you have (closed or open loop) is to follow the pipe back from the mixerplate (in the airbox) and see if it has a steppermotor (with a cable coming off it) in between it and the vaporiser. If it does then it has an ECU somewhere and takes readings from the Lambda sensor in the exhaust to adjust the gas flow and hence alters the gas consumption. If it has this system perhaps it needs tuning (via a laptop) or a new Lambda sensor.
If it only has a brass valve in between the mixer plate and the vaporiser then you have a simpler system and perhaps can be tuned better to improve the MPG.
I get 135 miles from 27 litres (problem with tank at the moment - should be 55li). From what I understand the 320 isn't much more economic than the 325 on petrol, but you should be able to at least get up to 23mpg on gas.
Like I say I'm not an expert, but maybe this helps a bit!
