I went up nottingham way sat night by train to pick up a 1990 e34 535ise.
The guy told me it had a shudder when you hit speeds of 50 to 60mph.
Well fcuk me what a shudder thought wheels where going to come off soon as you pass 60 smooth as a babys bum cant fault it nice ride.
Took it round to my mate and he said while parking the car up at his house he could see movement in the passenger side wheel.
My mate tried moving it but felt okay no play we think.
Any ideas what the problem could be.

Cheers

I would have said balancing, until you say your friend saw the wheel move, then it's obviously a buckle in the wheel, providing it's tightened well.

Sounds good to me boys at least its nothing serious by what you guys are saying.
The car is on standard bbs alloys, but i must stress this is one hell of a wobble it really get scary as i was not expecting anything like what it was doing. The best way to find out is book it in for an mot i suppose.

Cheers

Or jack the suspected wheel up and spin it to see if it wobbles.

Could well be a bit of both, if the car has had a collision with the kerb, I'd suspect a buckled wheel though, best have it checked though, get it tracked also to see if the wheels are lined up properly.

hi. try changing the front wheels with the back. atleast that will eliminate any problem with the wheels. when changing the wheels try wobling the wheel from side to side to see if you have any play. if you have any play, check track rod ends or bottom ball joint.
