i have a 1992 525i with the 24valve engine (M50). its got an auto box which has decided to go into limp home mode whilst telling me the dreaded trans program message.
what should i check before i scrap the car. some1 told me the transmission fluid might just be a bit low...?
help please

Check the fluid level, change the fluid, and when that fails, get that lovely engine out of there and into a decent shell!
