I have a G reg 325 with the later engine in it, Is the any reason
I cant put and early 2.5 from a C reg car into it,
Early M20 into Late car

you'll need to swop the looms over, and refit your existing front pulley assy and pulse generator in place of the vibration damper on the 85 mill.
might be an idea to use your existing flywheel too, the early one is heavier(just !)
go for it fella !
higher compression will be easily noticable when exercising the loud pedal.

You woulnd want the block out of mine it dead, only runs on 4 cyl
has piston slap and smokes on full chat.
