i just fitted a set of salon lowering springs to a touring . but it looks really low at the rear

is it just me or are the springs different when you lower a touring.

and omg what a pain in the arse to get to the rear top mounts!!!! 8O

Tourers and cabs have uprated rear springs to deal with the extra weight, if you use saloon springs it will always sit lower.

Touring handling will be evil on saloon springs - you need cab ones.
Damper top mounts are easy enough to get at. - Remove rear seat side bolsters (one screw each side), remove luggage cover brackets (two screws each side), remove luggage compartment side pieces (two screws and two? nuts), remove seat belt reels (one 17mm bolt).
Then unscrew the two 13mm nuts each side and remove the damper complete with its mount.

I have a three foot long flexible thingy (!), with a knob on one end (!!), and three little claws that come out of the other end when the knob is pressed.
Invaluable for retrieving nuts from odd inaccessable places.

I know the thing you're talking about-like a grabber for gettin things out of inaccessable areas. fairly cheap from local tool shops, iirc
