Strange problem... The boot pops open when unlocking the car from the door locks. The boot then won't shut when the car is unlocked - the catch closes over when the boot is open, so the metal finger on the bootlid bounces off the closed catch in the boot lock. The only way to close the boot is to lock it, or, I noticed you can push down on the actuator behind the lock which will cause the CL system to operate with two clunks. If you shut the boot lid before the second clunk it stays shut.
The button you press to open the boot seemed to get stiffer over the last feww weeks, to the point where it would stick in sometimes, and is now stuck permanently out. Not sure what's going on here. Has part of the lock barrel rotated or is there some sensor which could have moved out of alignment?
