Welcome to the zone and the wonderful world of e30. Long may French engineering be consigned to the scrap heap!

will miss my little derv pug... i dont know you know.. if someone came along and offered me a 205 gti 1.9 (see keeping the 80s theme) for my 316 id definatly say yes

god im hoping i can move to another marque easily as buying bmws before im 20 would end up costing me the earth

got my insurance sorted today

was £1600
the pug diesel was £1550

work that out eh!

only problem is i have lost my few months no claims and had to cancel my existing policy and take out a new one as adrian flux wanted £3000 to insure the bimmer!

MY GOD

forgot how much people pay for insurance in uk!!!!???? my first BM was a 318i on a C plate, 2 door and i paid 450squid TPFT, 150 excess in 1992(1991 memory a little fuzzy) i was 19/20 at the time.

you lot really get ripped off!!! 1 pound per litre and shagged on the insurance plus road tax and conjestion charges plus hilters running MOT stations and soon you will have to pay for the priverlidge of driving on the motorway if the gov gets their way (or at least they will charge you with speeding fines to make up the difference

life simple here, insurance dependant on how many doors the car has (TPFT) 325 sport about 300 quid, 320 cab 300 quid, 3.0 Z3 coupe 250quid fully comp???!!!, fuel is about 12p a litre, mot is easy as no rust, and only one speed camera on the island, and that is used to catch saudis who speed from Saudi to the local nightspots!!

happy days

UK might be a rip off but it's still better than Ireland (bar petrol costs  )even though it's still extortion! :x

Quinn Direct wouldn't insure me on my 325 cos I'm under 25 (not by much though, 24) even though I had 2 yrs no claims with them and 7 years incident free in total.

Then the b*stards refuse to transfer my policy for 16 hrs only so I could get the car home.

Thankfully it's a bit more reasonable over in Poland (£300) but they have no such thing as fire and theft policies as theft is so common.(huge premium and car can only be a certain number of years old to even have the option)

Only been here 8mths and 2 people I know have had their motors lifted, not covered and no interest by the cops. A case of Tough Sh*te!

That's why I've fitted an alarm :?
60% of the time it works........every time !!!
