OK, this post might be quite a shock, in my opinion, some of the parts I've listed may be slightly under-valued...
If I was to break my car, these are my estimated prices....
Shell 1500
Engine 1500
Suspension 600
Diff 250
Gearbox 300
Prop 100
Interior (sport evo) 1400
Heated black leather interior 500
New M-tech II wheel 100
New gearknob 50
Instrument Cluster 100
16" x spokes 400
17 bbs x spokes 500
Smoked hellas 100
Rear Smoked lights 100
Sport evo rear spoiler 350
Evo II rear spoiler 100
Bumpers 300
M footrest 100
Spark plug socket 50
Heater surround 30
Cruise system 100
Carpet 50
Headlining 30
Now the above so far comes to £8610, now I wouldn't be able to sell my car for that much in my opinion, so why should I sell it on 1 piece!? As a wise man once says, profit is more reasonable than justice!!
BTW, there are some things I haven't included in the above, AFM and airbox, maplight mirror, sunroof bits, rear window is the rare 3.0mm evo glass, boot trim, first aid kit, warning triangle, dashboard, aircon system and probably loads of other small bits...

it would be much more profitable to sell on in parts, however, it would be a crying shame to send such a good car to the wall
i think it would be worth a touch more than 8K, more like 9K with that sport evo interior and the carbon gurney flap, and those wheels

My problem is that I wouldn't be able to sell the car for strong money, the mileage is higher than what most people want at 170000kms, and there's some problems in the under bonnet area, such as rust under the fusebox, some near the strut turret, nothing really bad, but it's enough to put a buyer off, and would cost me too much to repair.

i had a mint 320is and it worked out cheaper to brake it, than fix it and sell it and the bits move faster even at strong money, but the thing with LHD parts the only people that want them is people with m3's so you need to price things so you get good money but you dont want it siting about,
and you will get people saying you cant do that to that car but its your car so why not, if thats what you want to do do it, there are people doing it all the time so f**k it,
but then on the down side you need to take the bits off and that can take time and room, it took 3 of us 5 hours to take the exhaust of my 320is today as it was done up so tight the 14mm bolts just wrung off so we had to take it off as a hole and crack the nuts with a chissel,
if you brake it you need to stick to a price 1st m8, and i would say some of them prices are a little low m8

What do you think a Sport evo interior is then?maxfield wrote:I dont think its a real evosport interior just recaro SRDs if i remember rightbigdek wrote:Simon,
i saw a sport evo interior make £2500 on fleabay last year

I would say that you won't get as much as you think for the m3 engine.
A lad whos on the BMWcar club forums(Dave) couldnt sell his engine for £1k.
Saying that though, it takes the right buyer,
I mean at the moment there are no m3's on autotrader bar one shitty black one and as for parts, they have all dried up as well.
I would say its a shame you have to break it, but then again, you would only be selling it anyway. So regardless, you wouldn't have an e30 m3.
I managed to get £9k in total for my m3 conv so I guess it was better for me to have sold mine in one piece judging by your breakdown above.

sell the sport evo interior and the 17" bbs (at prices stated) and the price for the rest (eg whole car) is £6710
thats gotta be more achievable, and much less hassle too.
