Hi to all E30 and generally BMW fans. I am new here as you see. Recently I bought an H&R lowering springs (the red ones) kit and the final result seemed bizarre. The front of the car lowered about 35mm but the rear lowered about the half the distance of the front. The car seems quite strange and the rear is quite high (even the dampers are obvious) . The car is a 316 (1766 c.c carb), '86 model and runs on Kayaba dampers (which I know aren't the best ones but it was my dad's choice when he was using the car). I believe (judging by the fact that I haven't noticed any other car with an uplifted rear-end) that I am the only one in the world that has this kind of problem. Does anyone know what's wrong? Can somebody please help? :(

Im guessing that the springs you bought were for the 316 and not other? May need some time to settle?? Not sure.. Someone with a bit more kowledge maybe able to help..

Are the springs sat in their cups properly?

Did you only notice this once the car was of the jack as it will give that effect untill you move the car because the suspension need's to settle down.
Take the car out round some twisty bend's and then see how she sit's, if you have no joy then they're obviously the wrong spring's and you need to take them back to be changed :?

Hope this help's :thumb:

The handling is quite nice, just as I expected it. As far as the looks are concerned: I bought this kit 3 months ago and a good friend of mine bought the exact same ones for his E30 (same engine, same MY), got installed in the same shop. He runs on the OE dampers for about 120000km (although as far as I know the dampers don't play a role in the car's height) and the lowering seems quite level and nice..
