Cables basically run all the way along the right hand inner cill, from a "pretend" battery + terminal bolted to the bulkhead abovee the front battery tray, to the battery in its new position in the boot.
All holes will be present, but may be blanked off and/or under sealant.
When you find a doner, remove the stuff yourself. That way you will know exactly how it fits. There are potential great dangers from a battery cable running inside the car, so fit it proberly as BMW intended. Don't bodge!

Is this true? When I get my Rear Battery boot kit from Jonb.

I was thinking of routing the cable down the middle of the car to the boot, because I have a big hole in the bulkhead for the cable to go through.

Big Hole being where the ecu loom used to go!
