I saw on a Zoners car at a Lakeside meet a mount that fits to the headrest posts on one of the front seats and sticks out on one side so the camera is situated between the seats. Cant remember who it is now

One of those would be a bit hard in bucket seats though! Although i'de use a similar thing and strap/cable tie it down to the harness holes on each seat? Then figure out someway to mount the camera on the bar.

When I had my jeep, I used to ratchet strap the tripod to the back seat area.. Im sure you could work out a way..

Either putting the 2 legs on the floor behind the seats, the 3rd on the back seat and using the seat bases as the ratchet points?? I wouldn't trust zip ties with a camera in a car.. imagine if you crash! 8O

Well here is what I have. Not sure how safe or legal it is though. I don't use the seatbelt with it because I have a 6 point harness but the seatbelt still seems to work ok.

It is the same on the passenger side. The camera is a bit high though, it would be nice to have it mounted a bit lower.
