Now that it's dark outside my other half has decided to tell me there is a problem with the sunroof.
Panel will tilt as normal but will not slide back; can here motor running but no movement at all.
Anyone any ideas where to start looking in the morning?
Had all day free until now!
Leccy sunroof problem.

I had the same problem a while back, tilt but no slide. The car needed a new sunroof seal, so after taking the old seal off, I tried the sunroof (to try and move the panel to fit the new seal) and found that the slide worked fine. I fitted the new seal and it's still working fine.

Think yourself lucky you've got tilt. Mine doesnt do anything just makes a grinding noise.
So if anyone on here in the W Midlands area is an expert and want some cash, come fix it for summer!!

Went out on Sat. morn with tools in hand. Much trepidation as I know that if you take these apart they can be fiddly to get back in the right position.
Tried the tilt. OK!
Tried the slide OK!!!!! Tried it again OK??????????
Told her indoors that the sunroof has nothing wrong with it, and, of course, she doesn't believe me and comes outside to see for herself.
Demonstration of working sunroof follows with the following reply.
"So you have to press the other button to make it go back? I thought you had to press the front one again"
So she had been sat with the sunroof on tilt pressing the front button to make it go down again and slide!!!!!!!!!!
Did think of explaining the mechanics of how the sunroof works but I knew it was a waste of good drinking time; so sodded off to the pub

LOL! Not difficult at all to get E30 roof timed right, and most dismantling won't affect the timing anyway.316eyes wrote: as I know that if you take these apart they can be fiddly to get back in the right position.
