the m30 conversion is a very good conversion. but alot of work.
the torque is unreal, even with the 210bhp e34 motor(can be bought off ebay for about £350, including nasty council owned e34). your looking at about 100mph in about 16/17 odd seconds with the standard engine. thats quick enough for our roads.
i have yet to go in andys car, but ive heard good storys.

I'm not certian, but I'm fairly sure I read last night that the E39 M5 did 0-100mph in 17secs!!!
The 335i can't be this fast can it! I had also planned to tickle some more power out as I heard 240-260bhp is not an unreasonable expectation from this motor!

M30 with a cam and chip/remap is going to be around 240bhp ish

My bad, it was 0-124mph in 17secs, I should think before I speak as our old Edirty6 M3 non-evo did 100 in about 13secs and I thought that was frickin' quick!

tesco value spaghetti with value beans on... a meal for 10p!!!!
parts man, damn it, parts!!!!! you have a duty to show everyone this thing!!!!!!
i've put my name down for both meets... would be rude not to bring the tourer!
not been to the ace cafe before... is there anywhere to 'test' say a 'standard' 335i touring against a tweaked one? (eg, how much faster is andys one!!!!!)

I uploaded the clip, it's just a standing start, bit of wheel spin in first and second etc
I must record some thing better and i need some kind of editing soft ware.

hehe! nice vid! scary looking debris though
sorry but even though the 2.5 M20 is nice, the 3.5 M30 is just in a different class! bmw should have offered it as standard!!!

wheelspin in second with decent suspension, rwd and a LSD is just proper!
i don't use 1st for 'playing' any more... 2nd gear donuts in the dry at half throttle and 3000 rpm. it's just lazy!

hopefully i'll be there... i am moving near then (could be that weekend if i'm unlucky) but i'd happily take you for a spin.
i should be ok over speed bumps as long as the rear seats are empty!
