why are the later e30 m3 215 instead of 200 bhp
Is this because of a de-cat exhaust?

The old cat version had 195bhp, the non-cat had 200bhp. The 215bhp has a few more differences, biggest being 48mm throttle bodies instead of 46mm.

Pretty certain the 215's come with 48mm TBs, larger inlet ports and a 264 cam, otherwise the same (or thereabouts)maxfield wrote:48mms only came on cecotto ravagali and evo sport.
