I may have killed my beloved E30 325i Touring

Thanks to an "incident" the rear offside wheel isn't pointing in the same direction as the rest of the car.

The Touring has a slight dent in the rear door and that's about it aside from the wheel.... And in the process of getting the wounds it totally killed a Saxo.

I haven't managed to recover it yet as it's now lost drive... Possibly a drive shaft pulled out? Any thoughts on what might have allowed the wheel to "float" I suspect I may have torn an anchor point out, but I don't know what's underneath. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Oh, and just in case it's terminal, are there any kit cars that take M20 engines? Failing that, how much is a mint 134K mile engine worth?

Sorry to hear about that, mate. Sounds as if the o/s trailing arm mounting has been bent/broken. Pics of the damage might help to try and determine what the symptoms are.

On a happier note - that's one less saxo on the road then.

Taylor.

Nothing that a replacement rear cross member, complete with trailing arm won't cure.
Marlin in Crediton, Devon do a car that uses the M20 engine and box. Can't remember the model, but there were a couple of engines/boxes on the floor, last time I was there.
Engine is too wide for "7" type kit cars.

Ah, so there's a subframe under there... Cool. My worry was I had torn stuff out of the chassis 8O

As long as she lasts the night I'll get her recovered and have a look tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice so far.
