Hi, my accellerator pedal snapped at the hinge on the floor the other day, I've removed the main part of the pedal and I'm driving it on the little metal stub atm, but its really not good for hooning, especially in the damp as I can't heel and toe. Anyway enough of my antics, the offending part is item one here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=35&fg=10
How does it attach to the floor? Is it a push & snap fitting through the carpet?
Regards
Iain
Help my pedal has snapped off!!!

yep, there is just a clip that comes out of the floor that it clicks into, assuming that hasn't rusted away etc.
I had a spare one of these that I gave to Dazleeds when he took my car and a load of spares, if they are silly money from the stealers then send him a PM, sure he will be able to dig it out.
By the way, your avatar is a bit on the laaaarge side fella

Cheers, the circlip came off easily enough, its just the floor end I was unsure of. I'll start looking round for one to fit, I know of one car being broken so may have luck there.
Sorry about the Avatar, was playing, have shrunk it now.

think the problem you will find on a lot of breakers is you end up snapping the hinge bit removing it, it's certainly one of those sort of 5 finger discount items usually found at a breakers

They are not actually supposed to be removeable without damage. They are designed to be replaced every time.
Bottom of pedal snaps into a rectangular frame welded to the floor, and is held by three snap in clips moulded into the pedal.
They can usually be eased out without damage by a little twisting and prodding with a large screwdriver though.
