Guys how do these dam things come out?

Im in the process of painting up an inlet manifold that ive been giving with the rail and injectors intack..i removed the rail with the 2 eletrical connectors on it and i was left with the 6 injectors still in the manifold but with another black rail attached to the back of them that doesnt want to come off... Does that rail come away from the injectors?,im guessing yes but didnt want to pull to hard as to Dmg the Inj's..if they do seperate, they have a very strong realtionship going on..

Is it worth even taking em off to clean the mainfold do you think?
And any advice on how to clean both the injectors and manifold?

the maifold if full of it and i cant see it budging easily not to mention you cant get much in there to shift it..guess its brake cleaner scrub as far as you can go and tip it up to drain it out again as there isnt a run through point as far as i can see..

its alot bigger job than i realized though, wondering if peeps that have done this just left it on the car and painted it like that..gota be easier :?

Nevermind,i removed the rail, should of done a search before i started the thread.

ive cleaaned the injectors but one of em still has deposits around the small stem arounds its base..does anyone know if the Fuel comes from the stem itself or the base of the stem in which case this needs to be removed..brake cleaner wont budge it and the space is way too small to get anything in there..couldnt even get a pin in there to scratch it away..guess thats why sonic cleaning is used then

I can't answer about injector removal as I've not had to do that yet but as far as cleaning the inlet manifold - I used Gunk and some various sized stiff brushes (old toothbrushes, pot brushes, anything that will fit in the awkward to get to areas) to rub it in with then rinsed it off with water.

found a few articles that state to spray some brake cleaner through the injectors and blow em out with some conpressed air till they run clear...

cant get anything to come outa these so dont know what the crack is there! there either really clean anyway or that cant be done..lol
