After hanging around many megasquirt/conversion threads as of late, and speaking to some people about the benefits, id really like to try and loose the AFM on my m42.
now obvsiouly being a student i dont have the money for systems like emerald. Megasquirt i would be willing to give it a go but no ones tried it on an standard m42 (note standard tim!), and i dont think i will reap the benefits from it considering that my engine, apart from a BBR chip ang BB throttle body is basically standard
so what other options have i got? Maf converions are still 800 quid are they?
Anyone had any experiene with SMT6? Have read a bit about it but still not to sure?
Just in the researchign stages at the moment but would be good to get rid of the thing in the summer?
Any ideas people?

www.boggbros.co.uk
although my head is usually full of magic and it prob ain't as simple as getting a manifold made up and bolting on some gsx-r carbs etc

sound me out fella.
bike tbs/carbs is a sound idea but theres a hidden downside, and its not the cost of the manifold

lol dan my car is standard.... for the minute. if removing the AFM is your only goal, i reckon bmwman's kit will be the best option personally.318-is wrote:After hanging around many megasquirt/conversion threads as of late, and speaking to some people about the benefits, id really like to try and loose the AFM on my m42.
