Hi, does anyone know what number stamped on the side of a gearbox means it is a sport one? I just got this number off a gearbox in my garage, is it a sport or not? It says Getrag then underneath, 260.0.1346.90 Any help appreciated guys.....

The gearbox from my Sport has 260.0.1346.91 on it.
I think the '260' means its the Getrag 260 box (as they all are), but I dont know what difference there would be in the number compared to a non-sport box.

Any idea where that might be stamped? I can check on my Sport box, but it needs cleaning so if I know roughly where to look.....

It's HM or TNN then some numbers following.
The code is stamped into the very outside rim of the bellhousing right at the bottom of the box. You probably won't be able to see it unless you scrub the dirt away with a cloth.
Apart from this method, there is no other way of identifying unless you measure the ratio's by turning the shafts.
