Please will someone verify what part this is 260.0.1346.90
Ive tried the sticky thread above but its not being recognised, is this not a correct part number then???????????????????????????????

You're missing a digit I think.

I thought part numbers were either 8 or 11 digits.

Edit: either 7 or 11 I should say :oops:

well this should be a gearbox part no so being as im hoping its a getrag 260 iv also tried taking the 260 off but still no joy!

Thats the off the gearbox casing yes???

Its not a part number the ETK will recognise, but I think the '260' part means its a Getrag 260 box.

The gearbox from my 325i Sport has 260.0.1346.91 stamped on it.

Yes its off the casing.
Why will the etk not recognise this, im trying to establish if this is a sport close ratio gearbox actually.
I dont think it is for my own reasons but am not sure.....

I dont think its actually a part number, at least not a BMW one so the ETK will not recognise it.

Someone else has posted the same number as you in the General Chat section and is also trying to ID a Sport gearbox. All I can say is that the number Ive written above came from my 325i Sport with close ratio box.

Hmmmmm,

ive just checked the other thread you mentioned and as it turns out the author of it has this on ebay!! Item no 4632255835
Im not trying to discredit him as im genuinely interested in buying the box if it is in fact a close ratio box.....
If you check his other auctions he's got a bit of stuff there claiming to be from a sport..... However thats not a 325i sport boot spoiler, hes refitted door mouldings to the doors where the techII kit used to clip in....
Wrong gearstick/gaiter......
Perhaps he just doesnt know......

But id like to cause i want that gearbox for a 327 project if genuine winkeye
