Hi

Can anyone help

My friend has a 4 door 318 and his central locking has gone into deadlock.

His drivers door is always unlocked and will not lock even with the key. The other doors are locked but will not open from inside.
The passanger door will not open with the key.
Boot will open, but won't unlock the doors.

It seems the whole locking system has gone into DEADLOCK.

Any suggestions and likely cause of the problem?

How to fix?

Cheers, Imran :?

o god another one!

firstly can the locks be operated by the door pins? if so then thats a start

secondly, the best thing to do is brians red wire mod; do a search for central locking in the forums and all your problems will be answered

the driver's door won't lock because of lack of maintenence. The locking solenoid has aleways done it before, and now, when you want it, there is too much play in the linkage.
First thing is to dig out the locking ECU and check with a lamp if there is power between the red/black wire and the brown wire. If there isn't, then do the red/BLACK wire mod referred to above.
