Hi guys.
when i start the car, and add the slightest bit of power to the acc, she sort of wants to stall. Also when i start her she sort of sounds like the revs are slightly increasing and decreasing. Sort of a hunting thing.
If i do stall her she seems to be harder to start.
Not sure what this is like when the engine is warm.
sorry i can't be more detailed
Goes to stall

:D
Has same problem on my 320i - first, check the rubber hose to the inlet manifold (connects airbox, manifold, idle air valve etc. Mine had a split in it, letting wrong amount of air in. If this is ok, problem is probably idle air control valve - this keeps tickover revs steady. If faulty, idle will go up and down on its own, and the car may well stall if very gentle throttle used to start off. My problem was intermittent, but new hose and idle air control valve off Ebay fixed it. PS I have a spare idle air valve, this with 90 degree elbow. Bought in error, mine is a straight fit. (There are two types).
If you're interested, let me know - I got it for around 10 quid plus postage.
(Price new from BMW around Ԛ£140 plus vat!!!)
Cheers
